The pandemic has highlighted how important telecoms networks are to society. Nokia’s Network Infrastructure group is at the heart of a revolution to bring more and faster network capacity to people worldwide through our ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.
The Network Functions Manager-Packet (NFM-P / erstwhile 5620 SAM) which is at the core of NSP provides management of Nokia’s IP portfolio of switches with more than a billion dollar revenue base and multiple product lines including but not limited to the 7750 Service Router (SR), 7450 Ethernet Service Switch (ESS), 7950 XRS, 7210 Service Access Switch (SAS), 7705 Service Aggregation Router (SAR), Data Center Networks and Media Gateway. A key differentiator in the IP portfolio, the NFM-P provides the full set of FCAPS functionality to over 800 customers around the world.
Members of our team routinely work with a wide variety of telecommunication technologies such as IP, MPLS, Ethernet, L2/L3 MPLS-based VPN services, Routing, Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), OAM Diagnostics, Web Application Front-ends. Technologies embedded and related to the product include Java, EJB, JMS, Oracle, Vertica, XML (including an automated test framework), JavaScript, REST, Linux, Windows, Virtualized Environments. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who want to be a part of this team with an exemplary record of delivery.
What you will learn and contribute to
Seeking highly skilled, experienced individuals to join our team. In this role, the responsibilities will be:
Participating in the development and standardization of network management applications.
Working in a team-based Agile Environment; collaborate with Developers, Testers, and Product Management to refine requirements, develop, and test our Carrier-grade solutions.
Your skills and experience
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent with 2-6 yearsof work experience
Hands-on experience inCore Java, J2EE, XML, micro-serviceenvironment.
Experience in developingEMS/NMSproducts that manage telecommunication networks.
Knowledge on network management concepts, protocols and modeling (e.g.SNMP, NetConf-Yang, RESTCONF)
Experience in developing highly distributed, highly scalable, carrier-grade products.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skill is required.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment
Passionate on software development, test automation, and combining technology and user experience.
