About Alstom in India Alstom has established a strong presence in India. Currently, the company is executing metro projects in several Indian cities including Chennai, Kochi and Lucknow where it is supplying Rolling Stock manufactured out its state of the art facility at SriCity in Andhra Pradesh. OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

• Manage the Tender QCD commitment
• Deliver a winning proposal, with a defined scope, accurate QCD commitments, in a timely manner and within the defined tender budget

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare quick costing during pre-tendering phase, based on product cost database and ROE from project execution
• Manage bids preparation in line with Product and Solutions strategy with the support of the Design Authority and following Tender Leader instructions
• Participate in Rolling stock tender launch and then formally launch internal tender launch.
• Lead cost estimation activities based on target cost approach with all participating units and métiers
• Consolidate tender costs commitment as per financial rules (in Mercury)
• Control the level of robustness of the costs (consistency between scope of work, costing and planning )
• Ensure the Bid is validated as per Bid process
• Lead cost improvement actions to reach tender cost /target price using all competitiveness levers, and challenge the contributors
• Identify, analyse and register the risks and saving opportunities
• Manage tender budget and make sure it is respected
• Perform TTM (Tender Transfer meeting) reflecting the contract as concluded and contribute to build on return of experience. Transfer the Tender to Sub System Manager.
• Handle Internal Selling Price – yearly update for Catalogue Products
• Participate and/or manage continuous improvement actions.

Performance Measurement (OTD, QCD, Orders, Gross margin, etc.)

• Gap between Tender Review Meeting (TRM) and Project Review (CPR0)
• Compliance with Tender cost budget

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: EDUCATION

• Graduate Engineer (Production/Electrical/ Mechanical)

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

• High capability to manage efficient team working to produce the tender deliverables within a limited time period and under stressful conditions
• High Communications skills, reporting capabilities
• Sense of anticipation
• Negotiation skills
• Customer oriented

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

• Experience of 10-14 years
• Experience in Project / Bids & Tender Management (on costing, planning & risk management)
• Be able to challenge proposals to obtain optimal solutions backed with commitments
• Having exposure to work with International team.

ORGANIZATIONAL REPORTING :

• Hierarchical Reporting to Head – Site Bids & Projects, RSC Coimbatore
• Functional Reporting to Components – Product Metier Manager, RSC Bangalore
