Customs Clearance Associate

The Customs team based out of Bangalore would be part of the Logistics, transport & Customer Services sub-process. Its role is primarily to ensure compliance with respect to the Indian Customs Laws and Foreign Trade regulations. This team will also be responsible for availing all Import / Export Incentive obtaining, monitoring and closing of Advance licences/ Project/ EPCG and other licenses and availing and claiming duty drawback.

Manage the Import Declaration Processes for all Alstom entities

Manage the Import and Exports Licence processes.

Manage the Bond & BG Processes

Ensure that the sites flow proper documentation procedures and maintain relevant records.

Handle all customs queries

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
Key goal was to support design of process for custom and import benefit licensing schemes to ensure compliance, adherence, repository and retrieval

Maintain record of all custom activity filed by us for all the group company and report deficiency and to follow up for regularization which was a key deficit area in the past.

To download import / Export data from ICEgate and reconcile with the import made by the organisation and circulate to the key stakeholder to facilitate preparation of DBK claim/ Project Closure/ License / Consumption monitoring

Maintain product master and update GRN/ coordinate with various stake holder for e-BRC

Data analysis and deficient reporting for custom compliance

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing the Import Declaration Process-Tariff Applicability, Exemptions, FTA benefits, Anti-dumping declarations.

Validating the Imports Check-list, Filing BOE, Customs Duty Payments and ensuring OOC from ports.

Shipment Tracking

Record keeping of all customs document BoE/ invoice packing list/ COO/ awb/bl/ ICEgate date ETC (other mandatory document)

Set up Daily/Monthly Status Reports with clearance TAT.

Managing the Imports License Processes-Application, Reviews, Consumptions, Closures.

Documentation support for duty drawback both AIR and Brand Rate, EDD refunds.

Track all License utilization.

Manage Bond and BG execution and utilization.

Documentation support for Monitoring and renewals of SVB and AEO Certification.

Repair and return, used goods import, warranty replacements, defective goods re-export, documentation, coordinate closure of GR waiver transactions

Refund of all type

Coordinate with Service Providers and DGFT for Project import registration and closure thereof.

Manage the Customs Brokers and define SLAs for Customs Clearance

Resolving queries raised by Customs as and when required.

Qualifications & Skills:
EDUCATION

Graduate in any discipline preferably with diploma in import/ export
