Purpose of the job:
Be the Quality referent for Sourcing Commodities and influence both sourcing strategy & suppliers to improve the quality level of supplied parts & services, through qualification and development of suppliers.

1. In charge of deploying Supplier Quality Development Strategy with Sourcing on his scope

Be the Quality referent for Commodities Manager for commodities under his/her responsibility and influence both sourcing strategy & suppliers to improve the quality level of supplied parts & services.

Through regular reviews at domain level and commodity level, ensure the deployment of Supplier Quality Development Strategy.

Is responsible of the consolidation of Priority List for his/her scope and the associated yearly audit plan (consolidation of all regional needs).

Organize the delivery of the audit plan, and all necessary actions to close the issues.

Influence sourcing strategy to improve the quality level of supplier part of Alstom panel.

2. In charge of achieving Supplier Quality Development Targets for his scope

Ensure the consolidation and the analysis of the suppliers quality performance ( communication to the suppliers, meetings with Suppliers )

Propose development and improvement actions and implement them.

Achieve the qualification of suppliers in the Priority List (Worldwide targets) on Generic and Special Processes with adequate audits and follow-up action plans.

Contribute to Global Quality Performance of the suppliers for Project execution ( First Article Inspection (FAI) results, Non Conformities, and Warranty Issues)

For ‘trusted’ suppliers: perform Return of Experience (REX) analysis, share it with all stakeholders and support Trusted program.

For the red and yellow suppliers: bring support to Alstom sites to exit the red and yellow status and when decided at central level, lead the Red Supplier Management.

In charge of development of Strategic suppliers.

Participate to Sourcing Dashboard meetings.

3. Reporting,

Ensure on time issuance of the relevant Supplier Quality reporting: weekly report, monthly dashboard…

Ensure right level of communication and feedback to Sourcing and Supplier Quality partners regarding supplier performance.

Provide communication to Supplier Quality Development teams worldwide for the commodities under his/her scope of responsibilities.

¨Provide support to Supplier Quality Development Teams worldwide for critical issues for his/her scope.

Enforce the application of all standards across its network and on his/her scope.

4. Support the deployment of Supplier Quality Development Tools, methods and processes

Be a leader or strong contributor for transverse work groups to improve or create Supplier Quality Standards, processes or tools.

Be a referent for Supplier Quality Development Rules and Standards, and if relevant a trainer on tools or processes.

Bring his/ her field expertise to improve Supplier Quality Development standards.

May be asked to perform support missions in the Regions.

Requirements

10 – 12 years of relevant experience in railway or automobile industry.

BE / Btech – Mechanical
