Role Introduction
To provide a centralized client opening service across American Express to ensure compliance at client inception with the firm’s regulatory and statutory obligations.
Supporting other corporate teams with any queries Hours of Operations: Shift Flexibility is required with some Weekends “will” be working. To be the first point of contact for queries from Internal Stakeholder and provide support to the team who provide advice on professional standards, regulatory compliance, and risk management. This role may be subject to additional background verification checks.
Key Responsibilities and Duties include:
Client Inception
Receiving and processing client inception forms to ensure clients and matters are opened in an efficient manner.
Identifying and researching potential conflicts issues and where necessary escalating them to Business
Anti-Money Laundering
Developing and maintaining a good understanding of anti-money laundering and financial crime legislation, and a comprehensive understanding of client due diligence requirements
Maintaining a working understanding of the firm’s anti-money laundering and financial crime policies and procedures.
Maintaining a good knowledge of potential red flags regarding the client and work types across the firm and the jurisdictions within which the firm’s clients are based
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensuring prompt escalation of any compliance risks or issues within the Business team.
Assisting in the review of matter risk assessments and implementing any necessary safeguards.
Providing support to monitor and audit client opening and AML procedures and policies to ensure they are being followed across the firm.
Undertaking such other duties as are broadly within the compliance and risk remit including new compliance regulations that may occur from time to time
Qualifications
Technical Skills/Capabilities:
Analytical, Problem Solving And Decision-Making Skills
Ability To Write Clearly And express themselves well In Groups And One To One Conversations.
Should have strong knowledge of Excel, MS Word/Power Point, MIS, Strong Communication Skill
Vast Knowledge in MIS.
