You will be part of a fast-paced BigData Infrastructure team responsible for maintaining world class availability on multiple large scale BigData platforms. You will be challenged with identifying innovative and creative ideas and proof of concept to deliver against the existing and future needs of our customers.
We are looking for passionate BigData Administrator to managing large scale BigData Infrastructure. As an administrator on our high-performing BigData team you will also be responsible for installing latest and innovative products, provide recommendations around performance initiatives and developing tools / products to enhance and improve infrastructure and application productivity.
Organizational Context – Member of a SRE team reporting to Director.
Minimum Qualifications
BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering is required
5+ years of software development / administration experience
5+ years of Hadoop administration experience
Demonstrated ability in deploying and administering BigData clusters.
Demonstrated ability in managing HA on BigData Clusters
Willingness to learn new technologies and exploit them to their optimal potential
BigData administration certification is required
Spark and Hadoop developer certification is preferred
Considerable experience on Hadoop (any Hadoop distribution) cluster installation, management, and administration experience
Hands on experience on MapR / CDH distribution.
Experience in Trouble shooting, performance tuning, cluster monitoring and cluster configuring
Willingness to learn new technologies and exploit them to their optimal potential.
