Responsibilities:
Identification of Alternates for Risk Mitigation with Form, Fit &Function Analysis and provide detailed component comparison report
Support Design Engineering in identification and qualification of Electronic/Electromechanical components
Core component engineering: Part No. generation & maintenance, Part creation, library maintenance, alternate vendor list, preferred part database
Provide sustaining engineer support activities such ECR/ECN, BOM updates, alternate low-cost sourcing, obsolescence planning, cost reduction and reliability improvement
Working with Multiple Manufacturers from Different Commodities, sourcing and quoting of components
Provide inputs for DFMEA, failure analyses and life assessment through testing/validation
Perform BoM checks before design release
Other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
~5+Years’ experience with Graduate in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic like E&EE, ECE, E&IE)
Hands-on knowledge in component parameters and it’s significant impact on product performance
Component engineering role covering multiple alternate Part Identification and end to end parameters of Electrical/ Electromechanical components such as processors, ICs passive, Discrete, memory, connectors, Cables, Fuses, Relays, Switches, RF generators, Sensors, Adapters/Filters, Cable Assemblies
Experience with PLM/equivalent, Part library management
Understanding of various Industry standards such AEC, TS, RoHS, REACH, UL, CE, CSA, IPC, etc. as applied to component selection, performance and life expectancy
Preference:
Develop and execute component evaluation, acceptance, and qualification test plans
Experience in a manufacturing environment to solve component implementation issues if any
Data collection and analyses
Basic understanding of electronics PCBA design principles, PCBA layout tools and impact on design/component selection

Ability to communicate with cross functional teams
