Job description – Communications Specialist Location: Bangalore Experience: 10-15 years Position description Ensure efficacy of internal communications, effectively drive employer branding and our unique work culture within the organization. Roles and Responsibility

• Ensure timely and effective internal communications, in keeping with Applied Materials brand image and strategy and drive effective culture building
• Drive and communicate organization’s priorities and goals through internal communication process and programs
• Manage, coordinate and execute events and support all offices to drive initiatives that positively impact our employees and reinforces our Vision, Mission and Values
• Work collaboratively with key stakeholders – Leadership, Businesses, corporate functions – to align internal communications to their requirements and drive them across the organization
• Work closely with internal talent and external agencies to drive internal communication campaigns across Applied Materials & key universities in India
• Drive communication efforts to support relevant Community programs/projects aligned to the corporate philanthropy efforts in India
• Develop and maintain internal channels of communication and ensure effective two-way communication using technology or other mediums
• Ensure the standard operating procedures for internal communications are maintained and followed to maintain quality, efficacy and impact of all internal communications
• Create and commission content, including video, photography, presentation material and infographics in line with the brand
• Manage/drive corporate employee communication tools – executive messaging, online communications, e-mails, printed publications, videos, webcasts, quarterly State of the Business, Intranet, senior executive employee/communication meetings

Required skills

• Dynamic and self-motivated individual with experience in creating, editing, and publishing content
• Ability to manage in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Confident when working independently or as part of a large team
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
• Concise, clear & confident communication.
• Ability to conceptualize and drive CSR/internal comms activities
• Proven project management skills, which includes, strategy, facilitation, and execution
• Basic design skills – Adobe Photoshop / Adobe Illustrator
• Experience in conceptualizing and creating AV/films/corporate videos
• Up to date with latest communication tools especially social media

Qualifications

• Bachelors or master’s degree in Mass Communication / Journalism, with emphasis on strong communications skills (both written and verbal)
• 10 – 15 years of experience in a corporate communications role in large corporates; worked in Business-to-Business environment, High-Tech industry
