ARM Hiring for Principal Software Engineer at Bangalore Full Time

Arm’s new Solutions Engineering Group’s mission is to enable our partners by delivering secure, performant, reliable hardware and software that are easy to use. Solutions Engineering’s Design Enablement team develops software flows which enables engineering teams to be successful.

We are looking for a software architect with proven experience in architecting and developing complex & scalable software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of software engineers responsible for the development, testing, deployment and maintenance of the verification and implementation software flows.
• To understand automation opportunities in hardware design process and propose software solutions for them.
• You will be developing efficient, scalable & massively parallel system to run EDA workloads on premise and/or Cloud
• Work in a multicultural and diverse environment and build strong relationship with various teams in multiple design centers.
• Effective collaborative/communication skills to work with engineering teams and project managers to define the roadmap, as well as EDA vendors to integrate third party tools into in-house engineering workflows.
• Encouraged to drive experiential learning sessions with wider audiences.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelors/Masters with 10-12 years of minimum experience in software design and development.
• Experience of at least 4 years managing/leading a software team.
• Strong understanding of scalable software architecture (e.g. micro-services)
• Strong programming and/or scripting skills with any of the popular languages (C++, Java, Python, Perl, TCL, Shell)
• Values communication as a key medium to cultivate learning, builds trust and solves sophisticated problems with dependencies.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple design centers across multiple time-zones  
• Be motivated to accept a variety of responsibilities as a part of contributing to the team’s success
• Have good interpersonal skills to enable networking both internally and externally to Arm

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

• Understanding of VLSI design process, especially the backend implementation CAD flows
• Exposure to cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS)
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Design concepts.
