Astreya Hiring for Accounting Analyst IV at Remote Full Time

What this Job Entails:

The Accounting Analyst IV will play a key role in month-end close and in the preparation of financial reports, financial data analysis, and ensuring audit
support is present and reconciled. This role will have the opportunity to
participate in different aspects of the financial/accounting operations of the company and will be visibility to key stakeholders. The ideal candidate for this position is analytical, pays great attention to detail, has strong communication skills, has a good understanding of GAAP, and is driven by improving processes and looking for ways to more efficiently complete their tasks.

Scope:

• Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways

• Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data
  requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

Your Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintaining monthly GL account reconciliations including activity analysis, journal entries, and reconciling items investigation.

• Analyze and provide explanations for period-over-period balance fluctuations

• Maintain, compile, and monitor expenditure reports

• Work with others in processes that affect general ledger activity such as accounts payable, payroll, treasury, and billing.

• Keep current regarding accounting guidance for assigned
  accounts

• Work with multi-entity and multi-currency accounts

• Additional ad hoc tasks and reporting as required by management

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Accounting degree from a four-year college or university

• High proficiency with MS Excel

• Ability to work with peers and counterparts in a global /multi-currency setup

• Strong written/verbal communication skills

• Strong reconciliation skills

• Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

• Passionate about understanding the drivers to financial results.

• Good understanding of GAAP

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA preferred

• Public/private experience

• System implementation experience preferred

• Certified/Chartered Accountant

• Multiple entity company structure experience

• Good understanding of US GAAP

• Foreign currency accounting

• Financial statement consolidation

• Audit experience

Physical Demand & Work Environment:

• Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing

• Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment

• Must be able to use a computer

• Must have the ability to communicate effectively

• Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or
  movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
