Job Description

Main responsibilities

• To contribute to the vision of organisation through planning and accomplishing set divisional Flow Team KPI targets i.e. SMPQDI (Safety, Manpower, Productivity, Quality, Delivery & Inventory)
• To Assemble the CNG Blocks & Packages for local as well as international market & develop the team to attain the highest results possible & best possible methods of assembly with highest quality & safety norms.
• Close coordination and Interaction with project, proposal, marketing, customer center & supporting them with necessary data for new enquiries.
• To plan and control production as per the customer requirement & the product portfolio.
• Set the quality procedures for necessary inspections, testing at various stages & maintain the quality documents
• To control and monitor the orders and procurement of the material with minimum inventory and down time
• To guide and motivate people to work towards efficiency and productivity of the highest order
• To ensure timely execution of new product development projects in coordination with Engineering, Sourcing & Product Marketing Responsible for cost reduction, continuous quality & process improvement, ensuring good house keeping and maintenance of QA & EMS systems.
• To establish, streamline & optimize the manufacturing process of Dapodi plant to meet the business requirement of being world class manufacturing
• To upgrade & document all sorts of manufacturing processes for higher productivity & quality
• Ensure timely up gradation for all sorts of work instructions / process layouts for Dapodi plant as per relevant norms
• Ensure effectiveness of the product, process audits & take necessary corrective & preventive action
• Ensure that all methods activities of BPCS like DN handling, routings locations, etc. are done on time
• Ensure effectiveness & support for all sort MES activities for the Dapodi plant
• Ensure support to Engineering for New Product Development activities
• Ensure preparation of efficient layouts & location for components as per manufacturing requirements
• Ensure documentations & the latest procedures of IMS, EnMS, EMS & OHSAS are followed in the manufacturing operations
• Ensure shop floor efficiency, FTR measurement and improvement thereof & to handle time and motion study activities
• Co-ordination with suppliers for development of mfg. tooling’s, fixtures, etc.
• Implementation of Lean Manufacturing concepts in all products lines
• Ensure to adapt new technology for further developments at supplier process & also in house operations.
• You will play key role in establishing best Assembly & Testing practices & ensure that operator will not make any mistakes in assembly of the product.
• To guide and motivate people to work towards efficiency and productivity of the highest order
• Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standards
• Ensure full adherence to 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) practices at all times
• Ensure/Audit equipment’s is within calibration date and all systems are functioning correctly
• Ensure all records are completed appropriately
• Ensure the team are aware of day to day targets and responsibilities
• Keep records of equipment’s, budgets, deliveries and supplies, and make them available to management for evaluation.
• Monitor and maintain all safety equipment and tools
• Undertake continuous training and development
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
• Identify business improvement opportunities within the organisation
• Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required
• Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department
• Responsible for training of operators for products and processes within the local team
• Responsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success
• Carry out incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure
• Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
• Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them
• Communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from the strategic annual plan so that each employee is aware of expectations and deliverables
• Provide product expertise within team, and respond to operator queries
• Work positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities. Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the team .
• To work in line with Atlas Copco values and raise red flags in time to the management if situations appear to be going out of control
• To ensure compliance with Atlas Copco Business Code of Practice.

Skills and experience

• +10 years of experience in Methods/ Industrial Engineering/ Manufacturing/Supply Chain Planning or equal through experience
• Knowledge of CNG & Reciprocating compressors will be an added advantage.
• Should have sound knowledge of production planning and procurement, Fluent in English, and Indian languages like Hindi and Marathi
• Excellence in IT tools like ERP (BPCS), MES, Office 365, etc.

Educational requirements

• Production/Mechanical Engineer, Graduate/PG in Supply Chain/Operations or equivalent.
• Degree in management will be an additional asset.
