Job Overview:

We are hiring a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer / Data Architect to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data storage solutions that enable efficient and accurate processing of data from various sources meeting business requirements. The role requires strong technical skills in data management, data security and data architecture. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership on data-related decisions.

Core Responsibilities:

o Develop and implement data management policies and procedures

o Design, build, and maintain data store systems that support business operations

o Ensure the availability, security, and integrity of the data stores

o Identify data store requirements and design solutions to meet those requirements

o Provide technical leadership on data-related decisions and ensure adherence to data governance policies

o Create and maintain relevant documentation for data store systems, processes, and procedures.

o Assess and implement new data store technologies, methodologies, and tools to improve performance and efficiency.

o Excellent communicator and writer

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience.

• 7+ years of experience in data store engineering, data architecture, or a related field

• Proven experience with data modeling and database design

• Experience with SQ and NoSQL data stores (e.g., MongoDB (preferred), Cassandra, Neo4J, etc.)

• Familiarity with cloud-based data store platforms (e.g., AWS DynamoDB, Azure Cosmos DB, etc.)

• Experience with (e.g., Hadoop, Apache Spark, Kafka)

• Experience with software developer platforms (such as Git, Docker, Jenkins, DevOps, etc.)

• Strong problem-solving skills, excellent troubleshooting skills, and being open-minded and passionate about solving problems vs. using one specific solution in all situations

• Experience building processes and documentation to enhance governance

Education qualifications:

Bachelor level degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study.
