Avendus Hiring for Private Equity Analyst at Mumbai, Maharashtra, India Full Time

JOB PURPOSE

The Analyst will be a part of our Future Leaders Fund (FLF) – a private equity fund focused on investing in ‘best of breed’ late-stage private companies.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Work as part of the internal deal team, on key aspects related to target company’s positioning, industry relevance & growth dynamics, investment consideration & risks, valuation and structuring
• Prepare deal documentation including but not limited to Investment Committee presentations, financial modelling, briefing documents and posy investment business monitoring and periodic updates (monthly/quarterly – for internal as well as external communication)
• Support evaluation and execution of the due diligence process, leveraging internal and external subject matter experts as required
• Build an understanding of the PE regulations and required periodic reporting towards regulatory bodies and/or investors as per the defined course of action
• Continuously evaluate the environment to benchmark the performance of the portfolio companies with their peers and advice the fund management team for any action
• Build favorable relationships within the portfolio companies
• Assist the fund leadership team in preparing presentations/documentation for interactions with multiple internal and external stakeholders and fund-raising initiatives

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• Prior Private Equity/Investment Banking/ related financial services experience (at least 1 year) is required
• Should be a self-starter with a high energy level, orientation for excellence, accountability, and entrepreneurial mindset
• Excellent written & spoken English is a must
