Designation : HOD After Sales ( Service)
Job Summary:
As an HOD – Head of the Department of dealership, you are the supreme authority of dealership and are fully responsible for overall functioning and administration of the different branches of dealership. Your key responsibilities are:
1. You are the one who formulate strategies, policies and broad objectives of the dealership to achieve defined annual Target by the Mercedes-Benz India and your organization.
2. You are responsible to increase Operational efficiency of the dealership and consistently strive for the success of the business.
3. You are responsible for profitable after-sales business by establishment of mechanism for capturing every opportunity in the market. i.e. improvement in customer retention.
4. You are responsible for recruitment of required manpower as per the guidelines and development of individuals through trainings.
5. You are responsible for continuously assessing the capacity as per work load and planning of capacity requirement for future.
6. You are responsible for achievement of KPIs against the target set by Mercedes-Benz.
7. You are responsible for conflict handling and resolution of customer complaints up to the satisfaction of customers.
8. You are responsible for the successful implementation of the Processes, new systems and initiatives recommended by Mercedes-Benz India at your dealership.
9. In addition, you ensure that all processes within the dealership Service are followed in order to maintain a constantly high Customer Satisfaction level as well as a positive brand image.
10. Interactions with departmental heads (HR, Marketing, CRM etc.) for operational efficiency.
Ø Qualification & Experience:
1. Automotive / Mechanical Engineering.
2. 15-20 years of professional experience in automotive After-Sales field.
Ø Specific background
1. You understand the products of our brand and the corporate strategies.
2. You are familiar with the market for automobile sector and dealership business and the regional competition, as well as their structures, sales channels and market offers.
Ø Technical background
1. You have fair knowledge on Mercedes-Benz products / luxuries cars
2. You have basic legal knowledge (e.g. warranty, contract, and data protection).
Ø IT background
1. You have knowledge about current software applications (e.g. MS Office).
2. You know the order system specific to your company (e.g. DMS)
3. You are updated with latest technological changes in IT, after sales.
Ø After-Sales /parts marketing
1. Systematically develop the market for service & parts.
2. Conduct segmentation of customers as well as target group specific service and parts offers.
Ø Tasks : Business and profit planning
1. Define a vision and derive strategic and operative objectives.
2. Develop appropriate performance indicators for Service and Logistics derived from the corporate strategy in coordination with Management and MB India.
3. Create binding investment, cost, sales and profit plans based on strategic and operational goals, taking into account the overall value chain (such as market share for Service and Parts, volume planning for Parts and Accessories and vehicle throughput).
4. Monitor and manage Service and Logistics by means of consistent observation and analysis of key figures.
5. Regularly check goals and measures and derive and ensure the implementation of appropriate corrective measures if necessary.
6. Represent the brand and the company vis-à-vis customers, suppliers and in public relations, actively establish targeted contacts with fleet customers, public figures, clubs, associations and the press and media, as well as maintaining such contacts.
Ø Targets for Expansion, retention and penetration
1. Set targets for market expansion, customer retention and business penetration.
2. Ensure systematic and cross-divisional service and parts market development within Service and Parts.
3. Creation of marketing plans for Service and Parts.
4. Develop marketing measures for customer loyalty and acquisition.
5. Implement available marketing measures for sales support.
6. Sustain the effectiveness of marketing measures and communicate to the entire executive management
Ø HR practices and strategies
1. Ensure standardization and transparency in HR practices and strategies.
2. Interviewing, recruiting and selecting key staff for dealership.
3. Create employee developmental plan with the help of HR department.
