Balasore Alloys Limited Looking For Head of Supply Chain Management at Baleshwar, Odisha, Full Time

  1. Responsible for creating short and long term sourcing strategy in line with company vision and implementation
  2. To prepare cash flow plan on a weekly/ monthly basis in consultation with Finance function and get the SCM budget allocated for smooth functioning of the operation
  3. Effective coordination with Finance to ensure timely payments to the vendors to build and sustain healthy long term vendor relationship
  4. Responsible for reducing cost by adopting effective cost optimization solutions in warehousing cost, material overheads
  5. Ensure preparation of monthly & annual procurement plan in line with the annual corporate plan of the company and track adherence to plan on a weekly/ monthly basis. Change/ modify SCM plan to accommodate change in production/ maintenance plan if any
  6. Responsible for management of logistic contracts
  7. To identify the items which can be procured through e-commerce and reverse auctions and to ensure procurement accordingly
  8. To identify the items which can be procured through Annual Rate Contracts (ARC) and to maximise savings potential
  9. Negotiate techno-commercials with the suppliers and service providers based on value engineering carried out in terms of cost and usage and do the bench marking with the global prices
  10. Ensure progress on various business excellence initiatives and effective implementation of Business tools (Process improvement, TPM, Six Sigma, Lean Management, etc.) as per plan
  11. Ensure compliance in terms of on-time deliveries, supply as per desired quality and quantity
  12. Ensure inventory of Raw material, WIP and Finished goods are as per the consumption days
  13. Ensure overall inventory turnover
  14. Maintain level of standards as per SLA guidelines
  15. Responsible for Liaisoning with the Government, Lenders, Power Department, Customers, Vendors and Contractors
  16. Responsible for compliance of all statutory and regulatory requirements with respect to SCM function
