• As the electrical team lead oversees and coordinates hardware engineering and design activities on global projects for the local site to meet committed schedule milestones. Ensures technical accuracy, consistency, and quality of the team output, and compliance with quality system requirements. Assigns project work in coordination with head of engineering and oversees daily activities. Ensures adherence to design control procedures, technical and design reviews are conducted, general safety rules, company policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and FDA regulations.
• As electrical discipline lead on assigned projects defines the required electrical tasks, test plans, deliverables, and technical direction and provides input to schedule. Manages all electrical project technical work, and effectively communicates to all project team members and stakeholders.
• Ensures successful integration of electrical design elements into the overall system. Resolves competing constraints between interrelated functions (engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, regulatory, marketing, etc.) required to complete the engineering and design tasks.
• As individual contributor on assigned projects creates and maintains design documentation that includes requirements and specifications, engineering reports, and clear, complete, and accurate detailed documents for engineering and manufacturing purposes.
• Contribute/Lead to the definition of product /design requirements, electronic system architecture, implementation of electronic circuits, test of circuits, documentation and release of designs.
• Leads troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts related to electrical aspects of the products associated with field performance and manufacturing.
• Generate and/or improves electrical and electromechanical designs that are optimized for production, reliability, regulatory compliance and cost.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support/lead SPO/Sustenance, product development activity/deliverables per QMS(Requirement Analysis, Design Specs, Sub-system Integration, Verification, release, transfer, production issue etc.).
• Work with cross-functional teams across engineering poles, system, hardware, QA, sourcing, manufacturing, service and marketing teams.
• Develop, modify, and approve electrical documentation, specifications and drawings.
• Create and communicate design/test plans, tasks, deliverables and status.
• Manages time and resources to meet committed schedule milestones.
• Leads the evaluation, design and development of Electrical and electromechanical systems/ sub systems by designing and conducting research programs, applying principles of electronics & electrical circuit designing including Analog, Digital & mixed signals.
• Ensures successful integration of electrical design entities with mechanical and consumable components.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts related to electrical aspects of the design and interfaces with other design constituents.
• Contributes to development and documentation of electrical systems architectures.
• Able to effectively transition products to manufacturing and ensure robust products and manufacturing processes.
• Generates and/or improves electrical and electromechanical designs that are optimized for production, reliability, regulatory compliance and cost.
• Performs in-depth electrical engineering & design analysis and calculations.
• Resolves competing constraints between interrelated functions (engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, regulatory, marketing, etc.) required to deliver the product to market. Defines protocols and conduct the necessary testing required to verify/validate the quality, safety and performance of the design(s).
• Develops and maintains an effective and collaborative working relationship with internal and external development partners

Qualifications:

• Embedded Hardware, Firmware/RTOS, Image quality Analysis, requirement writing (functional, service, risk, regulatory etc.), System Architecture, System Lead, contribution to system roadmap(portfolio) planning.
• Design fundamentals per CFR21, IEC,DIN, AERB, DICOM,RED,ISO13485, ISO14971, MDD/MDR and country regulation for medical equipment.
• Good knowledge on RMF, DFMEA.
• Knowledge and experience using CAD systems for printed circuit board design (e.g.Cadence, OrCAD, Allegro PCB) and data acquisition software (LabVIEW)
  Knowledge of standards such as IEC 60601, IEC 61010, UL, ANSI and ASTM.
• In depth knowledge of the regulatory environment for Design, Develop and Manufacture of Medical products.
• Knowledge and experience in design of embedded microcontroller-based electronics devices, including FPGA-based, digital and analog design.
• Demonstrated strong grasping, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated record of working with multiple vendors and suppliers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal/influencing skills
  Ability to work with multifunctional, global teams.
• Self-directed, resourceful, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and documentation skills.
• Expert in managing project work and providing technical leadership.
• Able to effectively transition products to manufacturing and ensure robust products and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to identify risks in design, programs & come up with mitigation plan.

Education and Experience:

• A graduate or a postgraduate in Electrical or Electronics or related engineering or equivalent Engineering and 10+ years of experience.
• A demonstrated track record in electromechanical hardware design & development, preferably medical devices or other highly regulated products.
• Team lead or supervisor experience.
• Created designs that have been brought to market. Should have gone through full product life cycle from concept to post market handling.
• Proficiency with MS Office and other office productivity tools.
• Clear and effective communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
• A demonstrated track record in electromechanical hardware development, preferably medical devices or other highly regulated product domain such as aircraft/automotive/defense industries.
• Experience with electromechanical medical devices following IEC 60601, ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 strongly preferred.
• A proven track record of effectiveness in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to create results within budget, timeline, and product/project deliverables.
