This position is based out of our Gurgaon & Vadodara locations Job Experience -Min 3 Years for Grade 23 -Min 8 Years for Grade 24 ROLE OVERVIEW Evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications. Performs engineering tasks, within a discipline, having some degree of complexity. Performs assignments, which have clear and specific objectives and require the investigation of a limited number of variables for an engineering discipline within a global business unit. Participates in the operation of a small design group in a discipline. Must have experience in design and engineering of Steel and HDPE pipelines. .Good knowledge of industry codes and standards ASME/ ANSI/ API/ NFPA/ EN/ AWWA etc. .Design the water pipelines and associated facilities like pump stations, metering stations etc. .Review the site survey and finalize the pipeline routing by doing a desktop study as per the local regulations and code guidelines. .Responsible for pipeline calculation, valve calculations, hydraulic design. .Develop digital designs such as pipeline maps, alignment drawings etc. Knowledge of GIS will be an added advantage. .Develop material specifications for pipeline and associated facilities for purchase. .Develop the pipeline calculations as per the code guidelines to ensure the integrity of pipeline under all scenarios. .Review and provide inputs for stress calculations. Delivers project work in compliance with approved design standards to provide quality design, reliable/safe plant operation and construction economy. Assists in preparation of design and drafting procedures to standardize design effort. Coordinates to resolve problems and interpret drawings and documents. Supports in reviewing & notifying any engineering scope changes, as required, for project management. Supports the creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction. Perform work in different sectors like Water, infrastructure, Power, Oil and Gas Projects. Understands the inter disciplinary coordination on the project. Follows ES&H guidelines. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS A recognized degree in a job-related engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited college or university, or a professional license in an appropriate engineering or scientific discipline from a recognized licensing board, or specialized courses in relevant general engineering, design or science or an appropriate engineering discipline. Broad progressive work experience in design engineering, science, or other relevant types of engineering such as systems start-up, field engineering or plant operation in water treatment plants, pipeline terminals, large industrial plants, utilities, process plants, or engineering/construction firms. Broad knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards and design criteria pertinent to the discipline. Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, pipeline layouts and drawings, and pipeline BOQ for preparation of analyses and development of engineering deliverables. Knowledge and understanding of technical and cost issues related to selection of design features within the discipline.Knowledge of precedents in the discipline and of principles and practices of related disciplines. Knowledge of related construction practices and the economics involved. Good working experience of 2-D (AutoCad/Microstation) for the development of conceptual designs and production deliverables on projects.
