Roles & Responsibilities

• Act as a spokesperson during times of crisis, providing clear and consistent messaging.
• Advocate for policies that support the company’s business objectives and industry interests.
• Collaborate with industry associations to influence policy development.
• Develop and maintain relationships with government officials and regulatory bodies to ensure a positive regulatory environment for the company.
• Monitor legislative and policy developments that may impact the company and provide strategic guidance.
• Establish and maintain relationships with local communities where Balco operates.
• Implement community outreach programs and initiatives to foster positive relationships.
• Engage with industry associations, NGOs, and other stakeholders to build strategic partnerships.
• Represent the company at relevant forums and events.
• Develop and implement strategies for employee development and talent management within the External Affairs team.
• Mentor and guide team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Collaborate with HR to design training programs and initiatives to foster professional growth.

Educational Qualification and Experience

• 12+ Years of relevant experience
• Proven experience in a similar leadership role, preferably in a corporate or industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of government relations, public affairs, and crisis management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to align external affairs activities with overall business objectives.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and policies relevant to the industry.
