Description and Requirements
Position Description:This position will work very closely with:BMC Remedy Helix Activation TeamBMC Remedy Helix Support TeamsBMC Helix IT Teams – – Database, Networking, Security and Server.BMC Professional Services & third-party Consulting teams. – Implement Integration Requests, Support Customer Go-LivesBMC Helix Customers – To gather requirements, Fix issuesPrimary Roles and Responsibilities:Handling BMC Helix Customer environment provisioning as part of Activation Team.Candidate will be working on data center migrations, which involve migrating a customer environment from one data center to other datacenter locations.Work directly with newly onboarded customers and fulfil requests related to lifecycle services which includes External Authentication Configurations, People data Integration, Branding, Email Configurations etc.Execute Service Requests like – Language Pack Installations, Additional products/extension installations which are not supplied OOTB.Secondary Responsibilities:Working on incidents/issues reported by customers.Coordinate with Product/Engineering Teams to get the quick resolution of issues and or product defects.Execute environment health checks and apply latest patches, recommended base line configurations for going live customer.Qualifications:Exposure to Installation procedures for different products like BMC Remedy ITSM, Digital Workplace, Smart IT, Smart Reporting, Digital Workplace Catalog is preferable.Good troubleshooting skills with Remedy platform and related applications.Good exposure and hands on with Docker, Kubernetes, Containerized concepts.Good exposure in working on Windows and Linux Operation System platforms.Good knowledge and understanding on DevOps fundamentals.Fundamental understanding and knowledge of public cloud vendors and technologies like AWS, Azure & Google CloudWorking Knowledge of SRM, ITSM, CMDB & Remedy Architecture. ITIL v3 certification is preferable.Exposure of working with different database technologies like SQL, Oracle & PostgreSQL.Able to design & document the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for product deployment and installation.Ability to automate complex requirements using scripting. – DOS Batch, Power Shell, Perl, Python, Unix Shell script and Java Scripts.Ability to work with time bound Deadlines.Hard Working, dedicated & effective communication skills.Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience.
