The Intermediate Holding Company (“IHC”) program structured at the U.S. level across poles of activities of BNP Paribas provides guidance, supports the analysis, impact assessment and drives adjustments of the U.S. platform’s operating model due to the drastic changes introduced by the Enhanced Prudential Standards (“EPS”) for Foreign Banking Organizations (“FBOs”) finalized by the Federal Reserve in February 2014, implementing Section 165 of U.S. Dodd-Frank Act.

The IT Transversal Team is part of the Information Technology Group which works simultaneously on a wide range of projects arising from business, strategic initiatives, and regulatory changes and reengineering of existing applications to improve functionality and efficiency.

Position Purpose

Responsibilities

Having 5+ years of experience in Installing and configuring software, hardware and networks. Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues

Ø Work with Developers and Architects in developing middleware configurations based on requirements.

Ø Identify and apply innovative technologies to update existing middleware.

Ø Create and maintain documentation for middleware installations, changes and upgrades.

Ø Train Junior Engineers on middleware updates and new installations.

Ø Coordinate with vendors and support team on problem resolution, design issues and upgrades.

Ø Perform troubleshooting, incident response, and patching in a timely manner

Ø Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure

Ø Having good skills in installing & administering Oracle Data base, Windows Administrative activities, Services.

Ø Having experience working in distributed systems and NAS file shares.

Ø Experience working especially with HFM, HP & DRM infrastructures

Ø Good experience working with UNIX shell scripts, creating Data base scripts, Batch files etc to handle DR database server.

Ø Experience working with IT security especially implementing Single sign On (SSO)

Ø Manage network servers and technology tools

Ø Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls

Ø Upgrade systems with new releases and models

Ø Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies

Perform production maintenance activities to ensure overall system stability, data integrity, and the timely availability of information in accordance with management’s performance objectives.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Excellent communication skills in both oral and written forms
Experienced in working with IT business analyst, ADM & APS teams on veracious technical requirements.
Ability to support stress during reports filing periods.
Ability to work independently with limited general supervision.

Specific Qualifications (if required)

Strong Oracle PL-SQL background along with understanding of banking data attributes.
Strong understanding in Object Oriented programming languages is preferred ( e.g. Python, C++, Objective-C, Smalltalk, Delphi, Java, Perl, Ruby and PHP)
Operating Systems skills: Linux (RH), VMWare : debugging knowledge (systems logs, etc.).
Unix/Linux operating system experience
Knowledge of Data partitioning
Experience in Data warehousing projects would be preferable
Experienced in Middleware systems.
Experienced in working in large matrix teams.
Knowledge of big data
Knowledge on Hyperion & Axiom / ETL application is a plus.
