Position Purpose

The purpose of this position is to have someone having good working experience in Power BI. Candidate should be able to create interactive, efficient and effective Dashboards using latest version preferably Power BI May 2020 or above.

• Designing, Developing and supporting interactive Dashboards, using PowerBI Desktop
• Applying Excellent Visual Design skills in developing complex & innovative Dashboards, Scorecards, Analytic reports
• Design and Develop dashboards and reports from multiple data sources by effectively using data blending, filters, Hierarchies, Transformations, Calculated Fields, customize Calculations, Conditions and Filter (Local, Global), prompts, Sets, Groups, Parameters, Graphs, Forecast, maps, Power View Slicers, Bookmarks, row level security
• Translate business requirements and user requests into effective visualization designs in PowerBI
• Hands-on Experience in transformation of existing complex Tableau Reports to PowerBI
• Planning and Performing Unit and functionality testing to ensure fit to design
• Provide technical assistance to Team members
• Approach any solution by adapting to Best practices

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• To understand the business requirement from BA team
• Design/Devolve the solution using Power BI( version May 2020 or higher).
• Perform the unit test and peer review.
• To develop sturdy and flexible software code with good quality and design
• Code Review & ensure best practices followed by team members

Contributing Responsibilities

• Provide Technical Assistance to team members.
• Suggest improvements or Automate repeated activities

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Power BI May 2020 Version and Above DAX functions and Power BI Libraries Data Blending, Filter, Calculations, Forecasting, Power View Slicers, Row Level Securities Oracle PL/SQL High volume and Multidimensional Data Processing Team Player, Self motivated, and Quick Learner Good analytical skills Independent and strong sense of ownership

Specific Qualifications (if required)

Essential Skills

• Should have at least 3 years of expertise in PowerBI
• Hands-on experience on version May 2020 or above preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in SQL/PL-SQL to build custom complex datasets for reporting or analysis; Ability to write complicated yet efficient SQL queries
• Expertise in PowerBI libraries and DAX functions
• Experience in Building various complex and innovative dashboards comprising of views, Filters, quick filters, row level securities, table calculations and parameters, Sorting, Grouping, Hierarchy, Aggregate calculations and String functions using Power BI
• Hands-on Experience in transformation of existing complex Tableau Reports to PowerBI
• Comfortable in manipulating and analysing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources
• Team Player, Self-motivated, Excellent Analytical skills, Independent and keen learner with a strong sense of ownership

Good to Have skills

• Experience in Tableau visualization tool.
• Familiar with agile methodologies – Scrum, Kanban etc.
• Financial Domain and Siebel CRM Data model would be added advantage.
