Software Quality Principal Engineer Our Software Quality Engineering team ensures that our next-generation software is of the highest quality. We conduct a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that our software meets or exceeds end-user requirements. We debug software products, oversee the development of test plans, ensure system tests are documented, analyze the results, provide feedback to developers and make sure that all problems are resolved. We also select testing specifications for new products and ensure testing procedures comply with industry-specific standards. What you’ll achieve
As a Software Quality Principal Engineer, you will develop, revise and maintain test plans, test cases and automated test scripts that include resource requirements, schedule assumptions and scope based on pre-determined product requirements. You will work with Product Development; Product Management and the Customer Support teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate to develop comprehensive test plans across Dell’s product portfolio. You will also have the opportunity to drive continual process improvements for the evolution of testing procedures and their future replication.
You will:

• Be a key member of an Agile team, collaboratively realizing features through the software development lifecycle
• Guide and participate in design, development, testing, and deployment of Boomi products and services including enhancements and/or resolution of any issues that may be reported
• Work independently with a minimal level of guidance from technical leadership
• Gather information to help formulate acceptance criteria, be a user advocate, and the be comfortable challenging and discussing the intent of stories to surface edge cases and improve outcomes
• Investigate and resolve complex customer issues
• Contribute to manual and automated testing suites to ensure future software stability

Essential Requirements

• Technical expertise in web application testing and knowledge of testing API and Web Services using frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver
• Technical expertise in Web Services technologies including REST, SOAP, and WSDL
• Experience in SQL and relational database systems
• Experience using Linux/Unix environments
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment testing environments
• Experience to mature development processes including use of source code control systems like Git

Desirable Requirements

• 10+ years of related experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in the API integrations and/or connectors space
• Familiarity with highly scalable, high throughput web applications and backend systems
