Role: Splunk Admin
Experience: 3 to 5 years

Required Skills:
Minimum 2 years of experience with Splunk & knowledge on setting up Splunk servers, event logging, indexing, deployment apps, data models, summary indexing, creation of dashboards, alerts.
Strong working knowledge in Linux Administration.
Mandatory experience with scripting languages, regular expressions to automate tasks and manipulate data.
Excellent (written and verbal) communication skills and interpersonal skills are mandatory.
Splunk certification is an added advantage.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for working closely with Infrastructure, Application team to ingest data to Splunk and plan the monitoring strategy.
Assist and provide best practices in adoption, expansion, additional use cases and in setting up Splunk.
Monitor and maintain Splunk performance, availability, and capacity.
Develop reliable, efficient queries, summary indexes, data models that will feed custom alerts and dashboards.
Implementation of Splunk monitoring by creating forwarder apps to ingest the data.
Integrating other applications with Splunk like New-Relic, JMX monitoring, IBM MBeans etc.
