Position Title: Factory Purchase Officer

Function: Purchase

Education:

Graduate. Preferably with an Engineering Background OR Graduate in Science

Experience:

Min 3 years of relevant experience in supply chain function in an FMCG/ Agro-Food Industry, preferably in factory purchase operations ( for engineering based candidates fresher’s may be considered)

Position Overview:

Procure RM/PM/ Spares / admin items in the factory basis the requirements, within the laid down procedures of the company, with the objective of ensuring availability, in adherence to the time, quantity, quality and cost requirements of the organization.

Key Stakeholders:

Internal :

Factory team (Stores, admin, quality, finance), Regional & Corporate Purchase Teams

External :

Vendors, Traders, 3PL warehousing agents, Transporters

Job Requirements:

Competencies:

• Managing last mile delivery execution for all factory related purchase
• Ability to execute purchase activites in tandem with audit norms and factroy demand
• Proficient in identifying local vendors to meet business requirements
• Exposure to SAP MM module -Purchase masters

Key Responsibilities :

RM / PM Procurement execution:

• Scheduling & delivery follow up for RM / PM based on the factory production requirement

• Order Processing & execution for factory maintenance & admin item

Review Processes:

• Daily review of bulk materials and packing materials

• Weekly review of other ingredients based on the rolling plans

• Weekly review of factory indent processing

Other Activities:

• Coordination for timely clearance of scrap

• Coordination of external warehouse stocks

• Coordination of Fuel purchase

Vendor Management:

• Monitoring and facilitating of vendor payment process and resolution of variances in vendor payment

• Periodic vendor account reconciliation and obtaining no-dues certificate

• Identification of potential suppliers and supplier development and induction

• Monitoring vendor performance and provide input for business shifts
