Job Title: Manager Tax & Compliance
Purpose of job:
The Manager Tax & Compliance will be responsible to manage the entire finance function on a day-to-day basis. The position will be responsible for managing the tax, legal and secretarial compliances. This position will also play the leading role in reengineering and automating the finance processes
Role context
CoE Tax & Compliance function is responsible for legal and statutory compliances of BCMS and other sister entities. This position is based out of BCMS Noida.
Main opportunities/challenges for this role
Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties:
Managing Direct & Indirect Tax Compliances, Transfer Pricing compliances
Leading and managing team and peers.
Managing Tax auditors handling end to end audit process
Adhering to Statutory timelines for deliverables
Required to maintain confidentiality while dealing with financial data and numbers.
Ensuring correctness and timely filing of Returns, submissions in compliances of direct and indirect taxes including transfer pricing compliances
Exploring tax planning opportunities.
Interaction with tax, GST and other regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.
Direct Tax and Indirect Tax
Preparation Income tax returns, tax audit, TP Audit and Coordinating with tax auditors/TP auditors/statutory auditors for the purpose of Tax audit/TP audit/.
Preparation of income tax schedules for statutory audit purpose
Preparation of Transfer Pricing documentation for the purpose of Income Tax
Review of TDS & TCS compliances and other relevant matters
Managing Deferred tax computation and other reporting to the group etc
CBCR compliances
Preparing/ reviewing GST reconciliation
GST compliances, support on assessments in the respective states and collaboration with peer group to support the departments requirement
Tax planning and compliance both direct and indirect tax
Briefing the counsel for efficient disposal of appeal
Preparing of MIS for direct and indirect tax
Ensuring timely filing of refund claim and coordinating with the authority for securing refund.
Team Management and Vendor Management
Overall, first review of the work performed by the team members
Training the new starters in the team.
Provide direction to the team and guide them on day to day basis
Managing the contracts with contractors and outsourced vendors in terms of SLA and performance
Review of timeliness/accuracy of the work performed by vendors
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance (Finance) and CA
Role specific knowledge and experience
Experience in Statutory & Tax compliances and Tax & Legal Matters
