About this role
The role holder will lead on complex compliance subjects across GBS (Group Business Services). They will influence the way GBS makes decisions and brief/provide with information on which GBS’s SLT can base key strategic compliance decisions
You’ll have the following responsibilities
• Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) – Accountable for end-to-end GBS’s key risk process in alignment with the BT group ERM framework.
• Strategy – Inputting to and delivering GBS’s risk strategy through the provision of quality and timely provision of all risk support and/or advice.
• Risk Governance – Delivering the efficient operation of GBS’s governance framework with provision of all governance related support and/or advice. Conducting risk identification exercises.
• Risk Monitoring : supporting and advising Business Unit risk lead, group risk teams, GBS senior leadership and GBS senior management in risk management.
• Risk Culture: Promoting risk mindset and operational discipline. Consistent Coaching and enabling of middle management in GBS. Driving workshops and conducting awareness sessions, induction sessions etc to promote risk culture.
Risk Reporting: Conducting Risk reviews, preparing and publishing various risk reports in line with GBS and BT Group risk framework and participate in monthly/quarterly/annual risk reviews on all platforms.
• Horizon Scanning: Continuous monitoring of changing landscape and ensuring emerging risks are identified and proactive measures are implemented.
Influencing senior leaders and middle management across GBS to promote risk culture, driving risk-based decision making and deployment of process across GBS.
You’ll have the following skills & experience
• Industry specific – Knowledge of the telecoms industry and convergence.
• GBS specific – Understanding of GBS’s business objectives, systems and processes, and the risk and compliance environment in which GBS operates
• Leadership – Comfortable. leading/influencing/delivering some of the most strategically important projects for GBS
• Strategy – A strategic thinker, whom will be able to input into the overall compliance strategy for GBS.
• Customer Champion – Understands customers’ needs and challenges, seeks opportunities to create a brilliant customer experience.
• Bold decision maker – Breaks down problems, and makes decisions using analysis, intuition and expertise.

Experience
• Minimum 8 years of experience in GRC from reputable organization.
• Atleast 5 years of experience in Managing and supporting ERM implementations and Support.
• Desirable certifications – CRMA, CRISC, CISM
• Exposure of Business and risk landscape in IT/ ITes industry
• Proven leader with demonstrable skills in inspiring team and promoting expertise area
Leadership Accountability
• Ability to deputise for line manager
• Leading a team
• Ability to lead Projects with Minimum guidance
• Assisting management in internal stakeholders & external regulatory relationships and
• Ability to represent the Risk Governance & Compliance team
• Actively identifying risk management path for recorded risks and supporting Risk owners to put forward an appropriate compliance programmes to timescales, including managing operational and service requirements
Actively identifying current risks and implementing additional process / tools to help GBS benefit from world class risk management.
