About this role

Connect Intelligence 2 nd Line role holder provides technical support on WAN Optimisation products Riverbed and Ipanema Devices. Role expectations is to deliver commissioning and installation of the devices, provide technical assistance and Troubleshooting.

You’ll have the following responsibilities

• Maintains a reputation for quality and delivery of his/her expertise to the business.

• Responsible for contributing with technical knowledge sharing in the form of workgroup instructions and/or internal seminars, with the purpose of leveraging expertise and knowledge on repetitive incidents or problem tickets/cases.

• Contributes to the transformation strategy for a network, platform or technology discipline in own area of expertise, based on knowledge of the customer network environment acquired through incident management interactions on tickets and cases.

• Technical Contacts for Operational WAN Optimisation and Application Management Services.

• Investigate and Diagnose Service Performance Incidents Specific to WAN Optimisation and APM services.

• Follow Change Management Process, understanding of Change Request forms and CAB process.

• Deliver Commissioning and installation of Riverbed and Ipanema devices, in-life changes.

• Ready to deliver 24*7 support.

You’ll have the following skills & experience

Experience:

• Worked alongside colleagues and teams through a period of intense stress and pressure

• Handled office politics/disagreements whist maintaining personal integrity

• Suggested cost savings to assist budgets

• Developed an internal network of strong working relationships you can call on to assist with your role

• Advocating and applying technology where it has not been used previously

• Delivered results when the deliverables were unclear

• Tackled process/policy obstacles to delivery

• Five-year work experience in Service Assurance area (operations team) focused on WAN Optimization Network technologies.

• Professional-level Riverbed/Infovista/CISCO accreditation.

Capabilities required for the job

Be agile (https://myprofile.bt.com/academy/subject/agiledel/pages/playlists.aspx?playlist=16671) – You use your knowledge of best practice to collaborate with peers across the business in different ways.

Good Knowledge on Networking concepts, CCNA.

1-2 years on Experience in WAN optimisation technology, hands-on experience.

RCSA-W certification Preferred.

Good Communication Skills
