A business development executive (BDE) is responsible for increasing sales and revenue by attracting new customers and retaining existing ones. Their duties include:
Research: Researching businesses individuals and industry trends to identify potential clients and markets
Sales: Generating sales leads contacting potential clients and negotiating business terms
Relationship building: Developing and maintaining relationships with clients
Strategy: Creating business strategies analyzing market trends and tracking business performance
Representation: Representing the company at industry events meetings and conferences
Communication: Preparing client presentations and materials and explaining the benefits of products to prospective clients
Management: Hiring onboarding and training new team members and delegating tasks to freshers
Reporting: Presenting sales reports to senior board members and investors
Time management: Developing daily and monthly schedules and creating meetings with teams
BDEs need a variety of skills including:
