Job Purpose and Impact
The Procurement Market Intelligence Specialist (Direct Materials) will identify, collect and analyze market information impacting the Direct Materials categories market. This role will provide insights to Procurement and Business in a timely manner to support sourcing-related decision-making. We seek a professional who can research and analyze data, market information and trends and communicate insights with categories and business stakeholders; In this role you will analyze and interpret data including commodities trends, macroeconomics and industry overviews, and use analytics to output reports and share updates.
Key Accountabilities
Identify and collect appropriate supplier, commodity, industry, economic data.
Perform financial, statistical, and qualitative data analysis of industries and commodities.
Translate data into executable and effective market and intelligence reports and communications.
Support the organization on creating better strategies to improve negotiations.
Support Business margin management activities through market and competitive insights.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of two years of related work experience
