Key objectives of the FP&A role include:

Budgeting and Estimates: Preparation of budgets and rolling forecasts while aligning with different business functions.

Strategic Planning (Long term business plans)

Reporting: Preparation of monthly flash deck reports for regional reporting.

Performance Analysis: Evaluating financial performance against budgets & forecasts and providing actionable recommendations to management.

Decision Support: Offering data-driven insights and financial modeling to assist leaders in making informed business decisions, such as investments, pricing, or cost optimization initiatives.

Development of insightful dashboards for internal stakeholders to support decision-making.

Scenario Planning: Preparing financial scenarios and “what-if” analyses to assess the impact of potential strategies.

Cash flow forecasting: Detailed forecasting of working capital in alignment with operational teams to improve forecast accuracy of cash.

Business Cases: Preparation of business case for any new product launch/capex proposal.

Automation: Driving automation initiatives within FP&A processes to bring efficiency, improve decision making and increase collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of detailed business plan/subsequent forecasts & preparing detailed analysis of the budget/forecast for effective leadership team review.
• Preparation of budget presentations for Group & management review which includes detailed PL & BS analysis, risks & opportunities, Free cash flow & working capital analysis.
• Monitoring business plan against actual performance & provide financial insights & analysis to guide decision making at the highest level.
• Preparation of monthly flash decks which includes preparation of executive summary, analyzing & commenting on financial performance, preparation of critical waterfalls: EBIT, Net Revenue and Cost; next month & full year outlooks, industry & market share analysis, working capital management and risk & opportunities, etc.
• Preparation of long-term strategic plans.
• Preparation of business case for new capex proposals & product innovations/renovations.
• Identifying opportunities for revenue growth, cost opportunities & business strategies while preparing & presenting valuable insights to leadership team for informed decision making.
• Performing granular tracking of business KPI’s (financial & non-financial) and sharing areas of improvements to the management.
• Partnering with IT and the broader organization to improve decision making through creation of Power BI dashboards, automation, and system optimization.
• Utilizing advanced data analytics & visualization tools like Power BI to present financial insights.
• Preparation of profitability reports at the lowest level (SKU level).
• Preparation and analysis of state wise profit and identifying opportunities for improving profitability.
• Driving cost management.
• Reporting to Hyperion (HFM) reporting of Budget/Estimate to region & Monthly reporting of variances/Trend reports to Internal customers.

Qualifications/ Memberships:

CA with > 6 years of PQE or MBA finance from a premium institute with excellent academic record. Articleship from big 4 preferred for CA candidates.

Experience:

> 6 years’ experience with large corporates preferable in alcobev or FMCG industries. Should be currently handling FP&A profiles for more than 2 years.
