Cooling Products India is part of Engine Systems Products under Large Power System Division with the vision of delivering innovative thermal management solutions that provide superior customer value globally. Team in India owns responsibility in design and development of Cooling components to the applications including Machines, Power Systems and Industrial. Our strategy includes application expertise in owning Design Control of cooling components, aligning Global technology and Product portfolio, Simulation and Engineering analysis, and Global sourcing strategy. : As Design Engineer with the Cooling Products team, below listed requirements are expected to execute.

• Select correct Core Technology for the correct Application. Simulate and Analyze Cooling Performance results and fix the Core size requirement with high Efficiency and Accuracy
• Create Concepts, Design and Modify Cooling Module with Fabrication components to meet Packaging requirement
• Lead the Project execution by collaborating with Product Groups (Customers), Cross Functional Team and Suppliers to meet Timeline, Velocity, Cost and Quality Targets
• Prepares Development plans and is responsible for meeting scheduled dates
• Acts as the Development team leader by interacting with Plant locations and various Engineering departments
• Conducts Technical evaluations of major systems on competitive products
• Coordinate with the Validation team and Execute Cooling Performance Validation at Machine level
• Execute Design and Process Reviews with Stakeholders and Customers and ensure the GW target deliverables are met
• Analyze and recommend cost estimate for Cooling components to Purchasing team based on Should cost model
• Continuous focus on Cost Reduction drive in generating and executing ideas to meet Division Cost target
• Manage Product Health of Cooling Components. Lead and Execute Data collection, Analyze and Implement the Improved action when CPI/Field failure reported
• Uses Technical expertise and Product knowledge to play the leadership role in the problem resolution process when interfacing with Test and Evaluation, Service, Plant personnel and Suppliers. Works with manufacturability teams resolving problems with manufacturing and statistical process controls
• Manage Risk identification and Mitigation strategies associated with all project types (NPI, NSI, CPI, CR…)
• T ravels may require to Manufacturing facilities, Dealers and Customer job sites to analyze and solve design problems or to field test locations to evaluate a product improvement and for the Development of Engineering projects
• K eeps up-to-date on latest Cooling technologies and prepares Design concepts and Develops unique product design features the Company often patents to gain competitive advantage

Qualification & Skills –

• Master’s (Preferred) or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering from an accredited Engineering College
• 8+ years of experience in design & development of engine/machine cooling components
• Requires a self-initiator with strong technical leadership skills
• Strong hands-on Creo modelling tool and environment
• Incumbents must have demonstrated excellent analytical skills and the ability to perform complex assignments
• M ust have a good mechanical aptitude with ability to develop product concepts

• Must have ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well as employees in other units, customers, and suppliers.
