Job Description:

We are excited to hire Database Administrator III for Cerner. As a Database Administrator III, you will be responsible for the installation of the database environment and outputs. You will perform work on new project installations, Database release upgrades, and/or database performance management projects. You will be responsible for building, managing, and supporting databases like Oracle, SQL Server, Mysql, Mongo and Postgres. You will assist in the support of Oracle 12c and 19C Databases on LINUX, and HPUX platforms. You will also be responsible for providing database support, performance tuning, and technology upgrades on Oracle 12c and 19C in both an online-transactional and online-analytical processing environment.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

• At least 6 years of total combined related work experience and/or completed higher education, including:

• At least 1 year of System administration and/or system engineering work experience

• At least 5 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job, including:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering, or equivalent relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 4 years of DBA experience

• Ability to work off-hours when required.

• Experience with RDBMS technologies, Predominantly in Oracle.

• knowledge on Mysql, Mongo and Postgres.

• Experience with MS SQL Server installation, Upgrade, Migration
