Job Description

Position Description:

Expertise in planning and implementing Database Security by creating users, Roles, and assigning permissions to them
Resolving space management issues like database and log file space issues and monitoring jobs, Error Logs, Disk spaces.
Experienced in Performance Tuning, Client/Server Connectivity, and Database Consistency Checks using DBCC Utilities.
Side-By-Side Up gradation by using SQL server Upgrade Advisor.
Migrating from Old SQL servers to latest SQL server versions on different Servers.
Installing Service packs and hot fixs whenever required.
Database refresh from production to sub production systems.
Configuring the SQL Server & SQL Server Agent Properties Creating Maintenance Plans for taking planned backups, Update statistics, Rebuilding & Reorganizing Indexes.
Speaking with Customers regarding Issues and keeping track of the issue till it gets solved.
Identifying and Troubleshooting Blocking and deadlocking issues by using activity monitor system Stored Procedures and Profiler.
Creating Jobs, Alerts & Operators for getting mails to the DBA team whenever required.
Maintaining the high availability by using log-shipping, Mirroring, Clustering.
Having working experience on Commvault Backup tool and Net Backup Tool.
Scheduling calls with Customers to fix Issues and keeping track of the issue until it is solved.

Having knowledge on Microsoft SQL AZURE database.
Hands on experience on Resolving Blockings and Deadlocks and Memory issues.
Attended the internal and Client CAB meetings for SQL DBA Changes getting approved.
Configured Cluster and Always on feature in SQL Server database level.
Working on performance tuning using DMVS, DBCC commands and performance monitor.

Working has an acting team lead and taking care of all responsibilities.
Sending SOX reports and Volumetric reports on time as per client request Maintaining team members leaves and Shift roster.
Taking care of deliverables to Client without any delay.
Work experience in installing, configuring, managing, monitoring and troubleshooting SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, 2008R2, 2012, 2014 and 2016, 2019.
