This position is responsible for handling all correspondence related to an insurance or patient account, contacting insurance carriers, patients, and other facilities as needed to get maximum payment on accounts and identify issues or changes to achieve client profitability, and includes the ability to interpret and rectify denials.

What are the requirements?• Years of experience: 3+ years’ Healthcare and insurance billing

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience

• Medicare/DDE experience requiredWhat critical skills are needed for you to consider someone for this position?

● Comprehensive knowledge of the A/R process● Experience with UB-04 and CMS 1500 forms● Follows HIPAA guidelines in handling patient informationFollows up with insurance companies on unpaid or rejected claims to determine andresolve any outstanding issues and re-submit corrected claims if necessary● Organized● Detail Oriented● Ability to multi-task● Work well with othersWhat other skills/experience would be helpful to have?• Ability to meet position metrics goals (KPI’s)• Strong written and verbal communication skills
