Hospital Charge Audit SupportOverview of Position The Hospital Charge Audit Support role is an administrative position designed to support our providers (Hospitals) and auditors (licensed RNs) in bill breakdown. This support role enables auditors to be more productive and efficient

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

• Utilizing OCR software to scan patient itemized bills, reviewing for appropriate CPT/HCPCS and revenue codes and then uploading into our system from Excel format

• Log, scan and/or track items received and ensure follow-up is completed

• Individual is depended on to produce a high volume of accurate work at a fast pace

• Depending on business needs, individual may also be asked to support team members in other areas such making calls to providers (hospitals) to retrieve medical records or itemized bills and send and receive correspondence via email, mail, fax, etc, as well as provide feedback and request revisions from audit staff

What are the requirements needed for this position?

• 2+ years of experience in client and/or customer support

• High School Diploma or GED

• proficiency in Microsoft office 365

• Effective verbal and written communication skills plus the ability to develop effective relationships

• Must have internet and telephone available for use while working remotely

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

• 2+ years of related experience in group/individual health claim benefits services preferred

• 2+ years of experience with hospital auditing process preferred

• 2+ years Medical Terminology & documentation experience is a preferred

• Planning, organizational, problem solving and time management skills with the flexibility to adjust to changing priorities

• Ability to understand, retain and apply client contractual requirements

• Confidence in ability to make decisions and support those decisions

What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?

• General office demands, remote work from home

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time utilizing a computer
