UI/UX Developer Job Description

UX Design Systems Engineer

Cisco’s Momentum Design System Team is looking for a UX Design Systems Engineer to work with us to reimagine the customer experience across the entire lifecycle of our portfolio: from sales, to support, to product renewal.

Your Responsibilities

You will help build and maintain our next-gen design system. You will help evangelize our design system to our larger design and development teams.

Who You’ll Work With

You will be part of our innovative design system team responsible for building out a next-gen design system. Our larger team develops forward-looking applications, solutions, and services across cloud, desktop, and mobile platforms.

Who You Are

5+ year’s experience in front-end web development

Bachelor’s or master’s in UX, Computer Science or related field

Intermediate Javascript & Typescript skills

Working knowledge of Web components

Intermediate CSS skills

Working knowledge of design systems, design tokens

Ability to work within Figma (++ for knowledge of Figma API)

Inherent curiosity and interest in learning

Ability to counsel and advise stakeholders on optimal technical solutions

Humility to admit mistakes or simply say “I don’t know but will find out”

Appreciation of all types of people and ability to compromise

Excellent written, verbal, and time management skills
