The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage technology team of IT professionals implementing technology solutions with a primary goal to continuously assess the technology stack and build innovative solutions.

• Design good and operationally robust and scalable software solutions.

• Design and develop strategic ETL frameworks with high degree of re-usability.

• Design and development/enhancement of end-to-end analytical pipelines for the Big Data eco system.

• Proactively notify stakeholders of risks, bottlenecks, problems and issues for the development activities.

• Compliance with Citi’s System Development Lifecycle and Information Security requirements.

• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements

• Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation

• Technical brainstorming on best approaches to tackle changes in the system

• Contribute ideas to the evolution of the system architecture

• Contribute ideas to the refinement of the team development tools and processes

• Managing time and changing priorities in a dynamic environment

• Ability to provide quick turnaround to software issues and management requests

• Ability to assimilate key issues and concepts and come up to speed quickly

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of Application development experience through full lifecycle

• Prior experience on building solutions on Big Data platforms.

• Thorough knowledge and hands on experience in Hadoop, Hive, PySpark, Sqoop and other technologies in Cloudera’s CDH distribution.

• Experience with Red Hat Linux and UNIX Bash Shell Scripting.

• Capable of performance tuning on Hadoop platform. Good knowledge on software development tools like version control, Jira etc.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong experience in Hadoop, Hive, SQL, PySpark with solid knowledge in Data warehouse, ETL processing /Data Pipelines.

• Should have proven records of building Data Pipeline for couple of AML programs.

• Strong AML domain knowledge is a plus

• Strong in release management and working across multiple programs with agile methodology.

• Good Experience in Unix Shell Scripting

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
