The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Senior C# .Net Developer within Global Commodities Technology Group with responsibility for Commodities Market Data team located at Pune (India).

Job Background

The Commodities technology group provides application development support to Commodities business globally. This includes Trading, Sales, Marketing, Risk Management, the Financial Division and Operations

Market Data team is responsible for sourcing Commodities market related data from various internal and external sources – aggregators like Reuters, Bloomberg and global Exchanges and distributing to other teams for Risk and Pricing calculation

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of strong development experience in C# .Net technologies (must have)

• Strong experience in SQL & RDBMS concepts (must have, Oracle good to have)

• Understanding of development practices and devops tools for CI/CD like GIT, Teamcity, uDeploy etc

• Development experience in Python (good to have)

• Prior experience of Financial domain especially in Commodities & exposure to Trade life cycle, Market data would be advantageous.

• Proven experience in low latency , high volume data distribution & sourcing related projects

• Experience in doing prod support and able to work under pressure

• Very strong and motivated to use industry best practices in software development

• Good communication skills

• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy

Key Responsibilities:

• Design/Architect, Develop, Test, Deploy and Maintain Market Data related components with focus on Stability, Performance, Resiliency

• Re-engineer core components

• Contribute towards improving the Dev Ops processes / tools for the platform

• Work directly with peer technologists to understand requirements as well as other technology teams within Commodities

• Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions

• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and/or to other team members; Mentor to junior members

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
