Citigroup Hiring for Infrastructure Senior Technology Analyst at Chennai, India Full Time

The DBA SME is responsible for activities relating to the build, maintenance and operation of infrastructure platforms, concentrating on multiple databases. You will apply your technical knowledge and social skills to leverage our established set up and drive future improvements in the performance of our technology infrastructure platforms, ensuring that we are increasing the quality and reliability of the platform, with particular attention to optimizing its capacity. You are a recognized technical expert, helping each team member with their development, listening and coaching them to be their best for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and direction in area of DB infrastructure technology specialization to support platforms and sectors

• Apply the discipline of engineering to deliver critical DB platform support and optimize platform/sector functionality for both physical and cloud (including OraaS, AWS, Google Cloud) environments

• Fully understand, support, and define platform and areas supported to minimize risks and impact to customers,

• Review issues and escalations, as well as resolve production problems, ensuring that status and technical matters are reported to management in a timely manner

• Utilize skillset to provide support, trouble-shooting and performance-tuning within DB technical domain

• Support the creation and implementation of system improvements that will improve performance and reliability while maintaining controls

• Work closely with our App partners for new projects from initiation to production cutover. Identify cost saving opportunities & implement creative DB solutions for clients (collaborating with Infrastructure Delivery team as needed)

• Enable the business to transform into new database platforms like Mongo, PostgreSQL, Redis, Couchbase

• Help the Team to go through DB SRE model implementation

Qualifications:

• You have at least 5 years of experience in your area of infrastructure technology specialization, preferably in a comparable technology or financial institutions organization.

• You have knowledge and experience of using Data Guard configuration, RAC (Real Application Clusters) and Golden Gate

• You have good Unix Shell programming skills

• You have experience in working with critical IT BAU processes in DBA area

• You work independently and are self-directed

• You are a detail oriented and perseverant individual

• You are a self-starter with good problem solving skills, and you continuously look for ways to improve things.

• You have a positive, do what it takes attitude to drive success

• Providing a great experience to the users of your platform is important to you

• MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis and Couchbase database platform awareness will be an asset

• You are familiar with System Reliability Engineer Model and Data Modelling concepts

• You are familiar with Ansible engine and Agile methodology

• You are familiar with AWS ang Google Cloud infrastructure services
