Citigroup Hiring for Jira Engineer w/ Java at Chennai, India Full Time

The position requires experience administering Jira or Jira Service Management. Java development, JIRA API or Groovy scripting skills are highly favored. A good understanding of common developer tools such as JIRA, Git and Jenkins with an understanding of how to apply them to DevOps processes. The candidate must be comfortable working in a Unix/Linux environment with experience in scripting automation. Must have good communication skills as the candidate will be required to liaise with and support developers, gather requirements, document support and user guides and assist with on-boarding to engineered solutions.

Job Skills/Qualifications:

• Fundamental understanding of JIRA and Java

• Understanding of programming best practices

• Experienced with Linux (Red Hat)

• Shell Programming/scripting

• Web based development (HTML, Javascript, JSP, Servlets, Springboot)

• Git

• Must have development experience in scripting with ScriptRunner

• Understand what are the differences between a Listener, behavior, scripted field, job, script fragment, workflow post-function, workflow-validator, etc.,

• Java & Groovy scripting experience

• Experience in consuming and developing Restful APIs

• Comfortable with writing advanced SQL queries

• Must be able to create, configure and customize JIRA projects, workflows, screen schemes, custom fields, permission schemes and notification schemes to meet business needs

• Experience troubleshooting JIRA performance

Beneficial Skills:

• Confluence, Bitbucket, ELK, Testing Frameworks

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

• Master’s degree preferred
