Full Job Description
Database Admin I is involved w/ developing, implementing, & maintaining data specs, designs, integration, testing, & documentation under the supervision of the Ld Database Administrator. They implement & maintain data specs, testing (e.g., scripts), & documentation as specified by user requirements. The incumbent maintains database performance by applying tuning methodologies and monitoring performance, security, server config, & data integrity as directed by the Ld Database Administrator.

Principal Accountabilities:
Addresses database issues as assigned utilizing ticket system.
Collaborates with Lead Database Engineer to maintain database size and scalability by evaluating database performance and trends, as well as w/ other database engineers to create robust, scalable database structures & queries.
Creates primary database storage structures (tablespaces) and modifies the database structure, as necessary, from information given by Software Engineers or within DB ticket.
Follows SQL standards and guidelines, and answers technical and procedural questions from users.
Implements and monitors database user access and ownership (create, read, update, and delete).
Maintains archived data on storage mechanisms as instructed by direct supervisor.
Maintains databases on a set schedule provided by direct supervisor.

Skills & Software Requirements:
MS SQL DBA- familiarity with SQLServer Management studio, familiarity with IDERA, SCOM, DMP, Familiarity with Window clustering; Oracle DBA-Familiarity with Oracle RAC, ASM, SQL, LINUX, Export/Import.
