Job Description

We are looking for a Network Administrator to maintain a reliable, secure and efficient data communications network. The ideal candidate will be able to install, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation.

Primary Responsibilities:
Monitoring, configuring and maintaining existing networks and making upgrades where required.
Experience with Cisco Switches and Routers, VPN, LAN, WAN, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
Upgrading network equipment with the latest stable firmware releases.
Troubleshooting LAN/Wireless issues reported by end users and working on tickets based on the priority.
Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency)
Recommending infrastructure solutions to meet business requirement in compliance with IT policy & procedure

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree OR
In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required

Preferred Qualifications:
The candidate should have 2-3 years of experience in a Network Administrator/Engineer role.
Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP, Routing protocols, DHCP, DNS, LAN/WAN etc.)
Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching.
Understanding of Layer 2 and 3 network infrastructure.
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with end users
Knowledge on Aruba wireless solution is an added advantage.
Candidate with CCNA certified is a an added advantage.
