Job Summary
Creates/Enhances the Test Scenarios, Test cases & Automation for Multi-channel Frontend & Backend applications using industry and Company technology standards. Assesses and certifies the software artefacts developed to meet one or more business process requirement. Helps implements tactical and strategic Test solutions. Mentors, reviews codes and verifies that the Automation artefacts follow the industry best practices and that Comcast coding and architectural guidelines are adhered to. Identifies and drives issues through closure. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing & certifying the quality of software developed for meeting the overall/specific Business/Program/Project/Issue level requirements. The selected person should be a team worker who has experience working along with a geographically distributed team. Strong analytical, programing and troubleshooting skills to understand, analyze business requirements and assess quality of deliverables.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
End to End Test Position to validate customer experience for the Comcast Xfinity Technology Organization. Candidate must have the ability to quickly learn and prioritize work ina fast paced environment, as well as work as part of a team.
Perform On-demand & Ad-hoc testing for various QA scopes – including Component-level, E2E (Functional as well as Non-Functional) on QA/Int, Pre-production, Production systems
Analyze business requirements and functional documents, create test strategy documents that define the test environment, phases of testing, entrance and exit criteria into different phases of testing and resources required to conduct the effort.
Writing Test Case by using Wireframe, Design docs and Acceptance criteria.
Draft Test Plans which include testing objectives, testing phases, scenarios and test environment after a thorough analysis of the business rules.
Configures apt Test Data for the scenarios / scope of Testing interfacing with relevant DevOps / TDM teams
Ensure effective Triaging of defects found and reduce defect rejection
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Performing GUI based, Functional and Regression manual testing
Testing of web services using SOAP UI / Postman
Maintains flexibility and reacts to change appropriately. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Ability to work independently with little direction, team oriented, results-driven environment.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
Skills and expertise:
Hands-on experience with the Technology stack mentioned above
Experience with E2E product testing in Telecom domain.
Experience with data driven frameworks using Microfocus ALM and SOAP UI.
Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver using behavior driven approach like Cucumber.
Testing of web services using SOAP UI.
Created automation scripts in SOAP UI using Groovy Script for web services testing.
2+ years of experience with API testing.
Minimum 1 year of Automation experience in Selenium
Experience with Telecom domain would be plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
