The Role

• Understanding and implementing imports and exports regulations (preferably Europe and UK).

• Coordination with the procurement department for any information and documents required for import & export.

• Coordination with suppliers for booking shipments documents of upcoming shipments & correction in documents if any.

• Deciding the HS codes for different products and types.

• Checking and approving of documents based on the product category at pre shipment stage.

• Custom clearance of goods imported, coordination with Local Authorities & handling Customs process.

• Maintaining delivery schedule for import shipments with Warehouse.

• Generating & maintaining import documents (Internal as well as external).

• Advance arrangement for high value duty payments.

• Warehouse delivery appointments and planning delivery accordingly.

• Arrangement of local transportation and coordination with them from pick up of cargo till delivery.

• Responsible for maintaining accurate logs of all transportation and goods.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field

• Minimum 2 years experience in a logistics management role

• Proven track record of reducing costs and improving efficiency in a logistics operation

• In-depth knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS)

• Expertise in developing and implementing logistics strategies

• Strong leadership and team-building skills
