Job Description

Job Title: Sr. Systems Administrator

Locations: Chennai

Reports to: Manager, IT

A quick snapshot…

A Sr. Systems Administrator will handle user management tools that are used for various productivity and collaboration systems and Learning Management Systems. You will also respond to IT tickets, break-fix issues, and PC deployment. Additionally, you will be responsible for IT infrastructure and active directory, O365 productivity suites.

Why it’s a big deal…

As a Sr. Systems Administrator, you will do overall system administration and infrastructure management. You are important in proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and suggest projects to streamline business operations. This position involves interfacing with Internal Stakeholders across Departments. You will also participate and take the lead in testing during new system implementation projects and for scheduled system releases.

Are you the person we’re looking for?

Related Experience. You likely have more than 5 years of experience in Atlassian software – Jira, Confluence, and system administration.

User management for tools like JIRA/Confluence, O365 suites, user productivity tools and LMS as per the need of business. You will also maintain projects, workflows, permissions, security schemes, issues schemes, custom fields, complex screen schemes, user management, external application links, and access permissions, ensure required approvals are captured and documented.

Respond to user application issues and enhancement requests. This includes building custom filters, reports, dashboards, workflows, and data model changes. You will break fix End user issues, troubleshoot hardware problems, and infrastructure related issues.

Stakeholder Management. You will coordinate with various internal departments like Education services, Professional Services, Application Managed Services, and Technical Support for smooth functioning of system activities.

Analytical thinker and creative problem solver. You are able to see issues holistically and follow the flow of the stack to get to the root of the matter – a key skill in this role. But where you really shine is your ability to identify creative solutions to unique customer requirements. This is critical for ensuring our customer’s issues are resolved in a manner that meets or exceeds their expectations without increasing their costs.

Network Equipment configuration. You will do the configuration and maintenance of all the network equipment like core infrastructure equipment on cloud and on-prem and end-user equipment like printers, and other imaging devices.

Education. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
