Role Purpose
The Content Innovation and Visualization team is focused on cultivating a data-driven culture aimed at implementing tactical solutions that are scalable and remain aligned with strategic objectives. The team will lead the focused solutions that ties together experience, data, workflows, business intelligence platforms, data science and RPA services in a cohesive and integrated way that strengthens the S&P Global brand, drives speed and innovation and makes it easy for our customers, colleagues and partners to interact with data. The core mandate of this team is to effectively connect data and content with our customers in an integrated way to support Ratings’ evolving digital business model. The team will be focused on driving innovation through optimizing how we leverage data to augment transparency and relevance to the market, and redesigning / disrupting how business interacts with data. As we develop an enterprise-wide data and digital strategy that moves us towards greater focus on the use of data and data-driven insights, this individual should possess an analytical mindset with a technical aptitude and a leadership and execution focus.
Key Responsibilities
This is an associated policy role providing support for research based data analytics, the ideal candidate should be willing to work in an unstructured and fast paced environment

• Create, support and maintain data, reports and dashboards as well as find creative solutions for a variety of challenges facing our growing data requirements
• Clear visual communications and presentations; the ability to tell a visual story that resonates with different stakeholder groups.
• Perform data management, mining, and manipulation – High Proficiency using Business Intelligence Tools and familiarity with SQL, Python, R and identifying new tools as required.
• Deliver data in a useful and appealing way to users – Integrate, Improve and Transform data for internal and external partners.
• Create content to increase communication with market with real time updates based on performance data and relevant news across various divisions
• Participate in cross-functional analytic projects: build relationships partnering with Analytical, Data, and IT communities to collect, analyze, and summarizes key insights from data.

To be successful in this role, you will need to take a user-centric lens to make complex data accessible for business leaders and domain experts through interactive data visualizations and have a passion for analyzing complex datasets and converting them into information. Background & Experience Must have a minimum of eight years of experience in BI Data Extraction, Data Transformation and Data Visualization, ideally with 10-12+ years. Attention to detail and the ability to remain organized managing multiple priorities is a key requirement

• Experience in working with QlikView or other Business Intelligence tools like Tableau, Micro Strategy, Alteryx or similar visualization technologies to present complex data in an easily digestible format

o Candidate should have good experience in data analysis, writing SQL/MYSQL Workbench queries using joins, unions, analytical functions etc. o Experience in performing data management, mining, and manipulation – data manipulation using SQL.

• Experience in BI solutioning to design, develop, and maintain user-friendly data visualizations and dashboards using complex datasets from different sources in Business Intelligence Tools

o Ability to make large, multiple and/or complex data more accessible, understandable and usable and delivering the data in a useful and appealing way to users o Experience in developing Extensions in QlikView that enable specialist visualizations and user interface components.

• Ability to work on multi relational database structures with strong experience in Oracle Database environment – SQL, PL/SQL programming

o Design and troubleshoot complex queries, stored procedures, functions, views, indexes, constraints, unions, joins, and similar development tasks o Design, create, modify and test various SQL queries, stored procedures and views for obtaining data from diverse source systems and platforms o Contribute to architecture, database design and query optimization o Review database architecture of product to achieve required technical outcome

• Experience in Data lake systems using AWS cloud technologies – experience in Data bricks will give

• Extensive Data modelling / metadata experience; specifically designing logical models / data dictionaries from both business requirements and reverse-engineering

• Hands-on experience contributing to data/application architecture & designs, proven software/enterprise integration design patterns and full-stack knowledge including modern distributed front end and back-end technology stacks

• Refining product based on feedback, ensuring their continuity of accuracy and functionality – Debugging applications, tracing code, and finding and fixing bugs.

• Experienced in partnering with technical and non-technical teams across the globe working with other members of the organization to drive business value. (Collaborative personality)

• Experience in the execution of data analytics initiatives, leading to the development of useful insights and the improvement of a business’s performance and growth.

• Design and deliver end-user training and training materials for top management as well as operational teams; providing technical support as necessary.

• Maintain best in class infrastructure through evaluations and proof of concepts with cutting edge of visualization technology and frameworks

o Introduce new approaches by developing and prototyping effective tools using technology including Python, R, Excel VBA, and RPA
