Job Description

Qualification:
Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering with 12 to 15 years of experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Technical consulting for Design and vehicle engineering activities,

During project initiation Lead Requirement definition, Technical WBS, Establish design review metrics and criteria.

Concept Engineering, design Engineering and technical Problem solving

Customer orientation, manage interactions, discussions with cross-functional engineering teams, and supplier interactions

Drive innovations & knowledge management in the team

Driving Hyper Automation by identifying gaps & opportunities in current design engineering processes and driving the automation project from business case approval till completion.

Work towards emerging technologies in the field and execute POC, Whitepapers, organize Webinars, Tech talks, etc.

Mandatory skills:
The Automotive Design Conventional and Electric SME need to possess the following set of skills:

Strong Domain knowledge of automotive systems and Vehicle Engineering.

In-depth knowledge and experience of development of an electric vehicle in the areas of ePowertrain, Body Engineering, Electrical engineering, Battery Management, Vehicle Integration.

Experience in DFM, DFA and DFMEA.

Knowledge of design & manufacturing of casting, forging, and sheet metal parts is preferred.

Should have exposure in Product Development processes right from Voice of the customer to Concept Engineering, Design, Build, Manufacture, and Aftermarket.

Knowledge of Automotive industry standards like AIS, ISO, etc.

Should be able to lead Engineering Change Management process and Design reviews.

Working knowledge of product development & design tools & methods (e.g. PLM, CAD & PDM tools like Creo, Catia V5, UG-NX, Team Center, and Windchill, etc.), ability to interpret simulation results (CAE).

Previous hands-on working experience with EV OEMs or EVSE tier 1 suppliers is a must.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and MS Project.

Ability to integrate manufacturing requirements in the design.

Leadership of design reviews and demonstrate good engineering judgment

Proactive approach to solve unplanned or conflicting issues and work with processes .

Ability to coach and influence at all levels within the organization.

Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as part of a team; self-motivated.

Ability to communicate ideas both orally and in writing to influence others using one-on-one contact, formal presentations, and group discussions.

Ability to identify concerns before they become problems, and to propose solutions to the concerns.
