Job Description

Qualification: Candidate should have bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering or Automobile engineering or Manufacturing engineering or Industrial production engineering. Post-graduation will be considered as added advantage Experience: Minimum 5-7 yrs of experience in new product design and development of Casting, Plastic and Sheet metal commodity Industry type: Automotive OEM, Auto Ancillaries (Tier 1, Tier 2 category and Design services) Responsibilities:

Should have excellent knowledge and hands on experience in design of Casting components, especially in aluminum alloys

Should have excellent knowledge in manufacturing process of Sand casting, Gravity die casting and Pressure die casting

Should have excellent knowledge and hands on experience in part modelling, Surface modelling, Assembly methodology, Detailing’s by using Creo

Should have hands on experience in usage of Geometric dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Should have strong knowledge in usage of materials, Surface coatings and Various heat treatment process for aluminium castings

Should have hands on experience in Value engineering methodologies for product optimization

Should have good knowledge and hands on experience in Design for reliability, Design for manufacturability and Design for assembly

Should have good knowledge in design verification methodologies like FE analysis by using Creo simulation

Should have hands on experience in preparing the product design calculations, Component design specifications etc.

Should have hands on experience in preparing the Design Failure mode and Effects analysis for component level, sub system level and system level

Should have good knowledge in usage of ISO/IS/DIN standards

Should have strong demonstration design skills in preparing the Concept design, Prototype design and Series design

Experience in mold flow analysis is added advantage

Experience in Plastic part design, Sheet metal designs and Wiring harness design considered as added advantage

Experience in Transmission machine assembly and Electric axles considered as added advantage

Experience in Electromechanical design like Solenoid, Sensor and Switches applications considered as added advantage
