Danfoss is seeking a hands-on, project focused Manufacturing Engineer. If you are an experienced professional ready to bring forward your ideas, then Danfoss gives you the freedom to do so. You will responsible for managing the Plant Manufacturing Engineering function (includes Advanced Manufacturing Engineering & functional support on Process Engineering). Design, develop, evaluate, improve and standardize manufacturing processes and systems in close alignment with Operations (Mfg & Process Engg team) to maximize efficiency and meet customer and organizational expectations. Ensure strong functional alignment with the Danfoss Business System.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Design, develop, evaluate, standardize, and continuously improve manufacturing processes, Tooling and systems to meet increasing customer and internal demand, with key emphasis on safety, quality and productivity. Specify, select, purchase and install equipment and tools needed to support manufacturing.
• Ensure that the manufacturing process and controls are capable of consistently producing products that meet and/or exceed customer expectations.
• Lead and or participate in problem solving activities utilizing defined analytical methods.
• Document processes and systems for ease of use on the shop floor and to ensure standardization of work practices.
• Work closely with operations (management, team leaders, operators) to proactively identify issues and/or opportunities for improvement, and drive actions to resolve and/or improve.
• Work closely with operations to ensure effective implementation of changes across all shifts.
• Work closely with quality on customer quality issues to enable problem resolution and prompt customer response. Communicate with customers as needed to understand issues and explain resolution.

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

• At least 4+ years of related experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred and/or equivalent work experience.
• Able to be pro-active throughout the project process to deliver results and take ownership.
• Team player with the ability to cooperate on all levels of the organization (shop floor to management).
• Familiar with basic hand tools, sensors, vision and other common assembly operation equipment and components.
