As a constantly growing company, Danfoss is looking for motivated employees who want to work with us on our success. We are seeking a Engineer Materials Lab to join our diverse team. The employee will be part of the R&D and Engineering organization in Danfoss Technologies Pvt. Ltd, and will report to Head of Hydraulics test lab This position will be responsible for performing metallurgical analysis of materials involved in Hydraulic components and manufacturing processes. Work involves expert knowledge of materials and substances as well as strong analytical skills

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

• Monitor metallurgical laboratory activities and verify and validate operational results
• Participate in materials selection and creating material analytical test methodology.
• Testing and evaluating efficiency, characteristics and performance of new alloys
• Prepare test data summary reports/documentation to communicate results to lab customers and the technical community
• Studying the properties of various materials like alloy steel, AL alloys, Cast Irons, electrification materials and finding means of improving their characteristics
• Perform failure analysis & prepare reports with recommendations, solutions, corrective actions
• Conducting feasibility studies about new alloys as well as their respective manufacturing processes.
• Should have experience of castings, steel making & heat treatment processes
• Knowledge of various international standards related to materials & testing
• Knowledge of root cause analysis, 8D & quality tools

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

• BE/B.Tech in Metallurgy/Material science
• 3+ years’ experience in quality assurance/Quality control metallurgy Lab
• Fluent and comprehensive English
• Strong technical knowledge and logical mindset
• Team player
• Positive and open minded
• Effective communication & writing skills
• Experience in working with cross cultural teams in multiple locations
• Conduct design reviews with clear recommendations and actions
• Initiate and support competence and process improvements
• Experience in Wear Testing or Tribology
• Worked closely with laboratory or R&D Lab
